The guy pictured is on an airplane, not a hotel room!
Most people transfer points to the Singapore KrisFlyer miles program because they want the Singapore Suites tickets. Singapore Airlines offers a first class luxury double bed experience.
Awards for the suites cost 120,000 miles one-way from New York City to Singapore. These suites are only available on flights using A380 aircraft.
Make sure to check the destinations when planning because these planes go to places like Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, and other large international cities. To go down on the points price, you can book a flight between New York and Frankfurt one-way for 76,000 points in Suites Class.
Singapore Airlines is known for having one of the best first class/suites experiences. So if you have the points, definitely book award travel in Singapore Suites.
Another great thing about Singapore Airlines’ program is that they are transfer partners of all the major points currencies: American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Rewards, and Starwood Preferred Guest.
So, if you don’t have quite enough points in one program, you can top off your Singapore Airlines account from other currencies.
Soon I will create a post with step by step instructions of how to book a Singapore Suite.
Is that seriously a bed in a plane?
Hard to believe, but yes!
I have always wanted to get the suite but rather use it for 3 roundtrips for the same Points price.
I agree with you, Jennifer. If points are scarce, I rather get more trips than just one uber luxurious one.
Who would have thunk they could fit a hotel room on a plane?
I know, right? It would be great if they made the entire plane that way, especially economy.
Wow. That’s some seat.
It sure is!
