What Can You Do With Chase United Explorer 50,000 miles Card Sign-Up Bonus?
As a United MileagePlus Explorer cardholder, you’ll see more available award seats than those who don’t have the card. This perk can make it easier to redeem miles for award flights.
When booking a United Airlines award flight, you’ll pay the same number of miles to a specific region regardless of your US departure city. For example, whether departing from the east coast or west coast, it will be the same amount of points to Hawaii or any other destination.
The following examples can be searched and modified to your local airport at United.com. Here are a few examples of how you can redeem the United Airlines miles you earn with the Chase United Explorer card:
1. Two Round-Trip Coach Flights Within the Continental US and Canada
When low-level Saver award seats are available, you can book a round-trip flight within the US or Canada, for 25,000 United Airlines miles.
For example, from one corner of the America to another, a round-trip coach award flight in September 2018 from Miami to Seattle is only 12,500 United Miles and $5.60 per way or 25,000 and $11.20 round trip.
This same flight costs $463 per person if you pay cash. So using the Chase United Explorer sign-up bonus miles can save you more than $900 for 2 tickets!

A flight from Miami To Seattle would only cost 12,500 miles one way and 25,000 miles round trip.
2. One Round-Trip Coach Flight to Hawaii
Hawaii is a popular and perceptively expensive travel destination. The good news is you don’t have to spend a fortune on flights to get there. For example, you can book a round-trip coach award ticket to Hawaii for 45,000 United Airlines miles and $11.20.
I found available award seats in November 2018 from New York to Maui. Paying cash for the same ticket would cost $959!
That’s huge savings from just a single sign-up bonus!

On the United website, a flight from New York to Hawaii would only cost 22,500 miles one way or 45,000 miles round trip.

3. One Round-Trip Coach Flight to Europe
After completing the minimum spending(3,000 miles) and adding an authorized user(5,000 miles), you will have about 58,000 United Miles. An additional 2,000 miles gives you a roundtrip to europe.
For example, you can book a round-trip coach award flight to Europe for 60,000 United Airlines miles. The best part about booking award flights to Europe is that there are no expensive fuel surcharges when booking with other airlines like British Airways ($300+) or American Airlines ($300+).
I found a non-stop, round-trip coach award flight from Los Angeles to Warsaw in August 2018 on LOT Polish Airlines. You can book it for 60,000 United Airlines miles plus ~$50 in taxes and fees. Paying cash for the same flight would cost ~$1,200!

A nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Poland is only 30,000 United miles and $5.60 one way. That’s an AMAZING DEAL!
